I had forgotten all about those newspapers. Those were SO SO cool. i wish I still had mine.
I also got the premiere issue of the AG magazine and subscribed for several years, I wish I still had those too. Apparently it has changed a lot.

Maybe this was just a first run and the magazine will improve with each edition. I have a order that should arrive in a few days. I will look to see if I got the magazine. It seems that AG is branching out in many areas. I hope they don't do to much and then lose quality. Could the new magazines be linked with the AG Club?

If anyone would want to send me their mag if they don't like it, or even just the subscription card, we would probably be interested.
I got my birthday order today, and one was included. The flyer mentioned that it was here because I placed a "Doll order", so it may just be in orders with dolls. I personally like it, especially the free part. I might even try making some of the hair doo-dads. The subscription card has a place to fill out the parents name and girls' name and address. Would it look funny if I put my own name in both spots? I don't want to share it!
Hellooooooo...I logged on just to post this. Did anyone notice the last page of the mag with the doll's making cookies? Do you know who took that picture and who's dolls they are?

Yeah for you! Tells us how it is you got your pic in there...is it from the book that you were doing with AG??
I personally jumped up and down when I got it. I really liked it and will enjoy it much more that AG magazine. I like the idea that it is about you and your doll.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I *love* that picture! It was so cute. I even remarked on it to my sister (the one who actually got the free magazine). She said, "why?" I said "it is totally adorable! Look at the little dough and all of the details!" I pointed out the modern-attired Josefina et. al. too--I thought it was funny that AG would take an "out of character picture," but they didn't! Quote:

You all can throw daggers at me, but ... I received one of these in the mail yesterday, and honestly I am not impressed. This is definitely geared toward girls, but I thought 8-12 was the age group they market to. This piece of fluff was geared WAY more to the 1st/2nd grader. The 8-12 year old should expect more than this. Big huge words, simplistic/plain format, and certainly nothing in the way of content, in my opinion. What I received is being touted as the "premiere issue." It's sincerely lacking. They better beef it up. If you have a daughter, I'd stick with Jack & Jill, Nickelodeon magazine, etc. A girl and her doll can read these together, too. This publication has a LONG way to go. The average elementary school newspaper is a better read than this.
danaspillar, maybe you could fill it out with the girls' name line blank. Some parents don't like getting their daughters' names on lists and probably wouldn't fill that line in. Or they have several daughters who all would want to share it. By leaving it blank, you could also share it with any little girls in your life and not be nailed down to sharing it with just one . . . if you decide to share!
I think this magazine is a great idea for girls--with video games children are forgetting how to actually be involved in creative play.

This is so cool! I definatly want one!
I really want one, but I have a feeling that I won't be getting one, as I have not placed an order directly from AG in about a year! So, if anyone doesn't want theirs, would you be willing to send it to me? Please PM me if you could! Thanks!
